4 Film Favorites - Eddie Murphy: Cop Collection - 48 Hrs / Another 48 Hrs / Golden Child / Showtime.

48 Hours Renegade cop Jack Cates (Nick Nolte) pulls bank robber Reggie Hammond (Eddie Murphy) from a federal prison on a 48-hour leave to help him capture Hammond's old partner, Albert Ganz (James Remar). Having escaped from a prison work crew, Ganz is on a killing spree around San Francisco, on the trail of half a million dollars that went missing after one of his robberies. The cocky Reggie knows where the money is, but spars with the hotheaded Jack as he enjoys his temporary freedom. Another 48 Hours While trying to capture drug lord "The Iceman," policeman Jack Cates (Nick Nolte) confronts two criminals and kills one of them in self-defense. The head of internal affairs (Kevin Tighe) wants to prosecute Jack since there was no weapon found on the victim. In order to prove his innocence, Jack rescues ex-convict Reggie Hammond (Eddie Murphy) from a hit ordered by The Iceman. Reggie, who knows the real identity of the criminal, may be Jack's last hope. Showtime When a no-nonsense LAPD detective (Robert De Niro) is forced to star in a reality-based television show with a frustrated actor turned LAPD patrolman (Eddie Murphy), they find their lives turned upside down by a powerhouse producer (Rene Russo) and her very intrusive camera crew. The Golden Child After a Tibetan boy, the mystical Golden Child (J.L. Reate), is kidnapped by the evil Sardo Numspa (Charles Dance), humankind's fate hangs in the balance. On the other side of the world in Los Angeles, the priestess Kee Nang (Charlotte Lewis) seeks the Chosen One, who will save the boy from death. When Nang sees social worker Chandler Jarrell (Eddie Murphy) on television discussing his ability to find missing children, she solicits his expertise, despite his skepticism over being "chosen."
