   Batgirl:  Destruction’s Daughter (2006) is a collected storyline about Cassandra Cain’s search for her true mother, a journey that pulls her into a violent clash with Lady Shiva, Nyssa al Ghul, the League of Assassins, and even Mr. Freeze. It’s one of the most defining arcs of Cassandra’s early character development, covering issues #65–73 of her 2000 solo series.

Cassandra’s Search for Her Mother

  Cassandra Cain has always known her father is the assassin David Cain, but her mother’s identity has been a mystery. This arc follows her obsessive quest to uncover the truth—despite Batman’s discouragement and her father’s refusal to speak. 

Cassandra’s search also draws her into the orbit of: Nyssa Raatko, daughter of Ra’s al Ghul, The League of Assassins and A resurrected Ra’s al Ghul’s forces.

The final chapters take place in a Balkan palace filled with assassins, zombies, and rival factions fighting for control
