House of M: New X-Men (Academy X) / Marvel Comics - 2006

  House of M: New X‑Men (Academy X) is a tie‑in miniseries where the Academy X students are thrown into the altered reality of the House of M event, and two rival squads — the Hellions and the New Mutants — end up on a collision course over an assassination order that could change the fate of mutant kind.

  In the House of M reality, mutants are the ruling class, and many young mutants have been reshaped into elite operatives. S.H.I.E.L.D. orders the Hellions (Julian Keller’s squad) to assassinate a leader of the human resistance in Japan. The New Mutants (Sofia, Prodigy, Surge, etc.) discover the mission. Realizing the assassination will trigger global catastrophe, they intervene — even though it pits them directly against their rival squad.
