Superman The Dark Side / DC Comics - Else Worlds - 1998

Superman: The Dark Side (1998) is an Elseworlds story that reimagines Superman’s origin by sending baby Kal‑El’s rocket to Apokolips instead of Earth, turning him into a weapon raised by Darkseid rather than a hero.

   Metron diverts Kal‑El’s rocket away from Earth, causing it to crash on Apokolips, the brutal world ruled by Darkseid. Darkseid raises the child as his own, molding him into a powerful enforcer loyal to tyranny rather than justice. This Superman grows up without compassion, kindness, or the moral grounding the Kents would have given him.
