 The story follows former FBI agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson), who have left the FBI. Mulder is living in isolation, while Scully works as a doctor at a Catholic hospital. They are drawn back into the FBI's orbit when an agent goes missing, and a former priest with psychic visions claims to have information about the case. As Mulder and Scully investigate, they uncover a series of disturbing events that challenge their beliefs and test their relationship.
